The Twinklies are a lovable group of talking Christmas tree lights which appear in Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. The Twinklies made their debut in Freezeezy Peak, where they are found inside a large blue present located near the giant Christmas tree which can be opened by using the Beak Buster. The Twinklies colored red, orange, green and blue enlist Banjo and Kazooie's help in protecting them from the vicious Twinkly Munchers as they make their way towards the tree to light it up.

In Banjo-Tooie, The Twinklies are not characters so much as objects to be collected in various mini-games, such as the Dodgems Challenge and the Twinkly Packing Challenge. In these games, there are three different colored Twinklies worth different points:

• Red Twinklies are worth one point
• Green Twinklies are worth two points
• Blues Twinklies are worth three points.
