S'Hards are enemies that live only inside the Icicle Grotto on the icy side of Hailfire Peaks. They lie motionless, disguised as large ice crystals jutting from the cavern floor, until Banjo and Kazooie approach, where they will scream, spring to life, and chase after the bear and bird.
Their crystalline bodies are extremely fragile and will shatter from almost any attack, but their quick movement and near perfect mimicry of regular ice crystals add to the danger of being unexpectedly attacked from behind.
