A Grublin is an enemy, native to Mumbo's Mountain, in Banjo-Kazooie. There are only five Grublins in the world: three at the entrance area and one roaming the village. There is also a Grublin inside one of the huts in the village that only appears after using Kazooie's Beak Buster ability to smash the wooden house. It is unknown what the Grublin creatures resemble but some think they are native tribesmen because of their clothes and environment.
In the beta version of Banjo-Kazooie, the Grublins were originally colored light blue and sort of resembled Mumbo Jumbo, leading some players to believe that Mumbo Jumbo may have been a Grublin prior to having his face turned into a skull by Gruntilda. Also the red feathers on top of their heads greatly resemble those sprouting from Mumbo's skull.

Grublin is possibly a combination of grub and goblin.
